Robbie Jenkins said to me...
"...you can pick the word or the winner can do a custom..."
Wait. That doesn't rhyme. Oh, well. It's early. I couldn't wait for the coffee to fully brew, so my Joe's sort of luke-warm, and my brain hasn't woken up enough to rhyme.
What I'm trying to say is that the fabulous, inimitable Robbie Jenkins has offered either a pre-made pendant from her site, or a word of the winner's choice as part of my 12-Days of ETSY giveaway!
How do you enter? We've done this before—but not everyone has played along. So today tell us the word you'd most love to wear. Any word at all! You know me and dictionaries. I love to snoop into people's minds to find out their treasured words. If you want to tell us *why* you like your word—the reason behind your desire—that would be like the cherry on top!
Hmmm. Cherry. There's a word I've always liked.

Alison

I think my word du jour might be 'compulsion'.
BELIEVE.
It's rather self-explanatory :)
Okay, little story for y'all: When I was in junior high, we were asked to come up with a saying, something personal that would resonate with us.
I came up with "Believe in yourself, and others will believe in you too."
Not bad for a 13yo kid!
Breathe
When life gets a little hectic, I just remind myself to breathe.
It may be silly, but it works for me. :)
Incorrigible
that's a hard one and might totally change every other minute.
right now i would go with 'sense' though. it was just used as an example in my seminar on word sense disambiguation and thus feels nerdy enough but also somewhat personal for other senses of 'sense'.
survior or oxygen
i have already two pendants like that and they are all wonderfull..love to touch them and wear them almost every day...
Oohhh I love words.
If I were to order one right this second, I would commission one to say "licentious," because it just rolls on the tongue in the most deliciously dirty way, and it sounds as naughty as it is!
Eternal.
Just the way I've been feeling lately.
crimson.
It's the name of the main character in my current novel, and it's an amazing color.
Also, it's been around forever -- in the Elizabethan era only certain people could wear crimson, and it was regulated by the Sumptuary Laws, which just sound WAY yummier than they actually were.
And, from Horace:
It is courage, courage, courage, that raises the blood of life to crimson splendor. Live bravely and present a brave front to adversity.
Somehow, I love that too...
Wow, these are all so great! I'd love to see a collage of people wearing their words. I've given away quite a few of RJ's necklaces. My favorite one to hand out was "moll." The woman I gave it to absolutely lit up!

Well, let's see. I already own "Desire" and "Create," and I bought a slew of them last year to give as gifts.
I would really love "Bibliobibuli," which means someone who's drunk on books, but it's probably too obscure/old...
So I think my next one would be "Luscious," which is what my husband calls me. :-)
Oh, darn it. I would LOVE to have my word like this! But I can't tell you what it is, because it googles pretty quickly to my non-pen name. Oh well. I will just dream of my word all on my own. ;)
But to win... I would take the word "wench" and give it to a special friend.
That's easy...callipygian.
Unforgettable
I want Dayle's "drunk on books" suggestion, but I'll do with this one:

Of all my pieces, my definition necklace certainly draws people in.
