Two Cents in Two Minutes:
Happy Fingers

Wouldn't you have happy fingers, too, if yours looked like mine? I have moved on from wearing neon orange to a whole range of turquoises. The other day, I had on an Essie. This one is Sephora's house brand—Sephora by OPI. It's called 'Mermaid to Order,' which I love. Especially, since I just completed a story featuring a mermaid. Sort of.

So far, the nail polish has behaved well. No chips. No cracks. I used a clear Revlon top coat—my poor nails need some protection as they tickle the keyboard. And speaking of tickling (love my segues, don't you?) I was trying to tickle my brain into remembering how many stories I've completed so far this year. I really have felt like a slacker. But when I looked through my files, I see I've knocked out about a piece a week, not counting the 25 articles, trio of novellas, and solitary anthology.

And speaking of anthologies, writers have been dropping me notes to query about my third Harlequin collection. Yes, the book is going forward. No, I do not have any news from headquarters as to the final line-up. I promise to keep everyone informed as soon as I have word.

And speaking of word, heh, my word for today is excited. Good news to come shortly.

XXX,
Alison

P.S. Damn. I just scanned down the list of the Sephora nail polishes. I want 'Who Let the Dorks Out?' and 'Mr. Right Now.' Oh, and 'And a Cherry on Top.'

Congrats on the new Harlequin collection... and those nails! *_* That color is to die for! I love turquoise and aqua shades. I'll have to find a bottle of that for my BFF. Mermaids are her thing, and that polish is gorgeous.

Le'see... I'm currently wearing Wet N Wild's The Gold & The Beautiful. A kind of orangy yellow shimmer nail polish. Very summer of '79, lol. ^_^

Hey, CZ! I *knew* you would leave a comment about my polish! I will have to look up the Gold & the Beautiful. Is it bad that I like the names of colors almost as much as they colors themselves?
