Sommer Marsden combines barbeque and the burn of adultery with an old flame in her story, Smokehouse.

Thomas S Roche (Who, by the way, has a SF novel out now, The Panama Laugh) in the 'Tahoe Tease' has an arresting story of the power of tease, denial and mutual titillation.

Sophia Valenti 'From the Bottom of my Heart' takes the well-worn trope of friendship turning into something more. Much more. As in no more squeaky-clean sex something more.

And in the anchor position, Alison Tyler herself brings us 'Plucked.' The string instrument metaphors highlight the changes in tone and notes that's coming to Sandy's sex life. Whether he knows it or not.

The variety of the stories and the tone of the authors makes the anthology worthwhile. The authors across the board prove that the physical description of sex is beside the point and its really how sex is a part of the relationships between the two (and sometimes more) characters, and their emotional growth and change. The writing is beautiful and well sculpted, as a story of any genre often needs to be.

And, the stories are also hot. Give it a try, and you'll soon see what I mean.
