This year, my birthday managed to escape me. (This is what happens when I don't tie things down.) I was so busy with editing, writing, and juggling (the editing and the writing) that I actually forgot my own birthday. Luckily, I have a mighty nice man who keeps track of these events for me. Throughout my birthday, wherever I went, people serenaded me. No joking. Sam has my schedule down (better than I do) and he contacted friends, acquaintances, shopkeepers and clerks everywhere I like to go. At all of my stops people "Happy Birthday"'d me. (Look at me. I made a new verb.)
To top things off, gifts have been skipping into my boxes (mailbox/inbox, that is) throughout the week. I'll be posting snapshots shortly.

DAMN - sorry Alison. I did have it written down. Everything is escaping me these days. Feels like I've been in a fog for the last eighteen months. Hopefully I'll come out of it soon.
