What the Fuck...

These boots are made for... chasing me all over the internet. In a moment of weakness, I went boot shopping online and now, wherever I go, the boots dance (if you can dance in boots like this) in my periphery.

Last night, post-party, I started watching Risky Business, which I had not seen in (rustle of newspaper, clatter of coffee cup) years. I know. I know. But I don't care.

I truly enjoyed—and could almost say word for word—this mini-speech Miles gives Joel:

Joel, you wanna know something? Every now and then say, "What the fuck." "What the fuck" gives you freedom. Freedom brings opportunity. Opportunity makes your future.

I was laughing (champagne was involved) at this "What the Fuck" usage so long before WTF. Now, I wonder if a screenwriter would pen: Joel, you wanna know something? Every now and then say, "WTF." "WTF" gives you freedom. Freedom brings opportunity. Opportunity makes your future.

Heh.

Tangerine Dream did the soundtrack, which was interesting (to me), because I had re-watched Near Dark the night before, and TD did that soundtrack, too. Does anyone else love Near Dark? God, what a pretty vampire film.

I'm stuck lately watching these films that I don't want to call "older"—because older to me always meant the films that were ancient when I was a kid. But Near Dark is 25 years old and Risky Business is almost 30.

OMG.

What the fuck?

XXX,
Alison
