"Black Violet Taboo..."

Black Violet—Taboo Adult Optical Frames. I was looking for something completely different when I found these.

I was actually searching for Taboo, edited by Violet Blue, so you can see how my efforts landed me on the frames, which are totally in my style.

The title originally came out in 2004, and readers really enjoyed it. From the surreal...

Found it on the street and it instantly became one of my favorite erotica anthologies.

*****

To the short...

Extremely erotic. I was pleasantly surprised by how explicitly the scenes were written. Has been fodder for many a fantasy for my husband and me.

To the in-depth:

Do you know what's great about this book? The title is not deceiving or misleading in the slightest. I have been let down by books with the words "erotica," and "taboo" in the titles. I enjoyed reading this short-story collection centered on couples who experiment with uninhibited, no-holds-barred sex in insatiable ways. Taboo contains stories featuring the sort of sexual scenarios that most people are often too afraid to explore. There is something for just about everyone here. Alison Tyler, Sara DeMuci, Pearl Jones, Elizabeth Colvin, Donna George Storey, and the other authors did a wonderful job with all of the delectable stories, but the one I loved the most was "Medical Attention," by Skye Black. The aforementioned story blew me away (so to speak). Violet Blue (pseudonym?) has quite an eye for selecting talented authors for erotic collections. I look forward to reading Sweet Life, another erotic collection for adventurous couples by the aforementioned editor. In the meantime, I recommend this one most highly.

Taboo contains my story "You Can't Always Get What You Want," which I was going to excerpt here, but I can't find right now. I think the piece is on my old computer, which would involve engaging in the type of back-flip I can't imagine before the rest of the coffee kicks in. So I owe you a rain check!

XXX,
Alison

P.S. Authors: I will always happily add—or fix—your link if you drop me a note.

I love the review from the person who found it on the street! Why do I never find anything good like that?

I have this collection and it is one of my favorites.

And, Christmas came early! I received the books from the MN&N drawing. I can't thank you enough and I've already started reading them.

Thank you again!

It's always interesting to me to find out what other people consider taboo - including the me of the past. I wrote some scenes in my second novel "Jujun" that at the time I felt were too extreme for my comfort...and now, they tend to be sort of "Oh, well, sure, that sounds reasonable..."

I'd also recommend, if you're not familiar with it, Mollena Williams book on Taboo Play (or any of her excellent writings/classes on the subject).

Also: Bingo spot.
