Trollop with a Question #3

These Mondays come around quickly, don't they? Wasn't it just last Monday? No, wait. I think there were a few days in between. It's been a bit of a blur!

But here I am—ready and waiting to ask you a new question. Do you have an answer? Oh, wait. I didn't ask yet.

What is the maximum number of people you've ever dated at once (and how did that work for you)? I'm not talking about cheating. (Yet.) I mean playing the field. For instance, I had the summer of seven. I dated seven boys one sultry summer. All had names that started with C or K: Christian, Chris, Corey, Keith, Kyle, Kevin, and, um, Sneezy. I wasn't sleeping with any of them. I didn't end up sleeping with any of them. (I found a non-C/K name and slept with him instead.) But I did have a full fucking dance card!

So now you—what's your max? And have you put that number to the test?

Now, while I have you—please slip over to Slutty Girl Problems to read my latest piece on BDSM. I'm delighted to have been asked back!

XXX,
Alison

P.S. If you answered my Trollop Question last week (or the week before), and if you'd like a prize, drop me a note with your snail mail address to msalisontyler at yahoo dot com. I have a little fetish for mailing things to people. You'll be doing me a favor.

Heh, Mine is very boring. Was a late bloomer found a girl. Fell in love and she is the only one I've ever been with or dated for just over 10 years now.

I was once involved with three men named Aaron, but it wasn't "dating" as I usually define it. I think "post-lesbian experimentation" might be a better term. One was a kinky play buddy, one was vanilla but curious, and one was mostly a waste of my time other than to allow me to say I had three Aarons. I don't remember if I ever had more than three partners of some sort, but I know I didn't make a habit of it.

With real dating, I tended to become serious quickly and it was usually one or two.

My max was something like four, though I'm not sure if dating is the accurate word. "Friends with benefits" wasn't something I'd heard of at the time, but that might be a better description. I had affection for these people, spent time with them, made out, but we weren't going to dinner and a movie or whatever. That's also part of why I'm not sure how many it was simultaneously. At that time in my life, I was letting it flow, not really counting. I often miss that version of myself--I had this unspoiled innocence about sex that I still wish I could return to (and, as I'm sure you'll understand, by "innocence" I mean "lack of shame" not "virginal").

I was dating three men at once. After I got out of my first serious relationship. I attempted to get into a second. Well, that didn't work out very well, and I decided then to play the field. One was my age, one was just a year older than me, and the other one was four years younger. Not such a big deal now, but when I was 22 and he was only 18, well....anyway, that didn't last long as one of those was determined to get rid of the competition. And he did. He's been the only one ever since.

Six... I think? Pretty sure six was the most I ever did, but it depends on how you define "dating." It ended up being too much though - dating that many people takes a LOT of time and energy, and I do have other things to do besides sex and relationships. I guess ;)

I am rather late to this question, but I love it. I, sadly, have never dated more than two—and even then, one wasn't exactly fully in the works. My best friend dated three men at one point and called them "The Three Bears" and I swore from there forward that I'd probably juggle many well...Somehow, though, it never happens—I hyper focus on one, have no time, or options come in waves rather than at the same time, etc.

I should get on this.

Not only is the depressing answer "one," I remember some college party I went to in the hopes of asking out some guy I liked. I spotted three other guys I unsuccessfully tried to date at one time or another, and got all twitchy. So lame, I know. But hey, there's still time, right?
